Hey guys! I'm needing an advice. My hands and feet sweat a lot during my yoga practice. I'm looking for a yoga mat that doesn't slide when I'm sweating. It really distracts me when I'm holding a posture. Does anyone have any recommendation?
In Yin Yoga, since we don't do standing postures, we don't need a yoga mat. Anything will do. A big towel, a blanket, a rug, ... However, in your yang practice, if you sweat a lot, your standard yoga mat often becomes a "slip and slide" mat. In my Ashtanga days, I used a cloth mat. When wet, cloth mats become stickier. You could try one of those: after you are warmed up, place a cloth mat on top of your sticky mat.
You may have to shop around to find them, but they are out there!
