GERD and plow pose

Hi Bernie, Thanks so much for your very informative reply! I read the study abstract you referenced, viewed some YouTube videos on how to perform Agnisar kriya and Kapalbhati and have added them into my morning routine. I don't know if I am doing enough of them but have started with 3 rounds of 10 o...

GERD and plow pose

Hi Bernie and forum members, I have always had a certain amount of gastro-esophageal reflux with the accompanying heartburn occasionally. But since becoming a regular with yin yoga and performing plow/snail pose twice a week or so, I think it may be making it worse. I have a Teeter hangups apparatus...

My question is this-After being "pulled apart" in a yin practice, would it be a good idea to fol...

Sa Ta Na Ma chanting

I am trying to get into a regular meditation practice and have been reading a lot about it online and in books. I recently came across a website that speaks very highly of the Sa Ta Na Ma chant, accompanied by mudras as a way to move into a meditative state. Anyone here have any experience with that...

Chakra meditation

Bernie, I am reading your book-Yinsights-and in it you seem to be very cautioning about Chakra meditation. I have Paul Grilley's Yin yoga DVD and his DVD about Chakra meditation. I have watched the Chakra DVD teaching twice and feel like I need to begin this type of meditation. BUT-I do have some tr...
