Donna initially began practicing yoga and exploring Eastern
Philosophy at the age of twelve. Her life path allowed her to
return to the formal study of yoga in October of 2000, and she
completed teacher training with At One Yoga in the spring of
2002. Donna is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance
and a Licensed Psychologist.
Donna has studied Yin yoga with both Paul Grilley and Sarah
Powers, and David Life and Sharon Gannon of Jivamukti

Aaron Goldberg Chandler, Arizona
A serious injury led Aaron Goldberg to study the art of Yang and Chen
style Tai Chi with Master Jin Hung Lee. After many more years of
trying to heal his body of chronic pain he began studying Yoga.
Within eight months the pain that had plagued him for sixteen years
was gone. Aaron is a co-owner of Inner Vision Yoga. He teaches each
class in a flowing style that encourages students to move past old
limitations with discipline and compassion.
Aaron Goldberg has studied extensively with Paul Grilley and has been
teaching Yin Yoga for four years. He is thoroughly trained in
anatomy and the energetic effects of poses. Aaron believes in the
therapeutic effects of Yin Yoga and teaches the healing effects of
Yin Yoga.

Jeff Martens Chandler, Arizona
Jeff Martens has been teaching yoga and holistic principles
principles since 1989. His understanding flows from diverse sources
including a Psychology and MFA degree, a deep love of sacred stories,
and a three year study of the world's sacred texts. His classes
combine timeless wisdom, internal adjustment, practical philosphy and
inspiring affirmation in a dynamic flow unifying the teachings of
Classical and Tantra Yoga. Jeff is a writer, teacher trainer, co- founder
of the Yoga-Vision Yoga Conference, founder of the Student
Yoga Program at Arizona State University and co-owner of Inner Vision
Yoga in Chandler, Arizona.
In addition to an extensive education in anatomy, physiology and

Betsy Andrade Chandler, Arizona
I was first introduced to the practice of Yin Yoga in 2001 when
attending a workshop on yin yoga with Jeff Martens. The following
year I met Paul Grilley through the Yoga Vision Conference in
Tempe, and have attended a workshop with Paul at every opportunity
since that time. I have been fortunate that my studio has offered a
variety of yin yoga classes since that initial introduction in 2001,
and I have studied consistently with Kat Myers, Aaron Goldberg and
Jeff Martens throughout that time. In 2004 I was offered the
opportunity to begin teaching yin yoga classes at Inner Vision Yoga
in Chandler, Arizona.
The practice of yin yoga drew me in with its wonderful hip-opening
and lower back-strengthening poses -- areas of my body that need its
nurturing attention. Once involved in the practice, I became aware
of the delightful meditative and contemplative quality of the slow,
deep movements, which speak to my soul as much as to my body. It is
my priviledge and pleasure to be a yin yoga instructor, and offer
this beautiful practice to my students.

Sharon is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, having completed her 250-hour training in Hatha Yoga

Michelle teaches from all that she has absorbed as a student embodying the natural flow of life. She is inspired by the eternal flow of

Sasha teaches yoga as a wisdom tradition that awakens the body, heart, and mind. Her classes offer a healing blend of

Addie deHilster Pasadena/Sierra Madre
Addie deHilster started doing yoga in 1998 when she was a highly stressed-out college music major. She fell in love with yoga immediately,
as she felt the tension in her body begin to melt away as if by magic. Addie is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher, RYT-200.
She received her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification from Karuna Yoga, in addition to completing a 30-hour training in
Kids Yoga, both under the mentorship of Kelly Wood. She completed an additional 50-hour intensive training in Yin Yoga
with Bernie Clark. She currently teaches Hatha Flow, Yin Yoga, Yin/Yang fusion classes, and playful Kids Yoga classes.

Scott Miller Riverside, California
Scott Miller began practicing yoga from a book at age twelve. Along with asana and meditation instruction, the
book Be Here Now included the teachings of Neem Korali Baba. His message about experiencing life as a loving,
present moment engagement is what continues to inspire Scott to this day. It was the inspiration behind opening
Inland Yoga Centers, and it continues to inform his personal yoga practices. The physical aspect of Scott's
practice, however, is also heavily influenced by two opposite styles:
Having connected with "Ashtanga" master Pattabhi Jois in the early Nineties, Scott later traveled to India
in order to receive more instructions from him, and though Scott teaches Ashtanga in a Neem Korali inspired,
Be Here Now, manner, he continues to honor the sequencing taught to him by Mr. Jois. But Scott also balances
the "yang" half of his personal practice, with a "yin" style yoga that he learned from Paul Grilley, and his
teacher Paulie Zink. Called "Taoist Yoga," this style connects perfectly with the Be Here Now approach, and
the connection is what inspired Scott to begin practicing and later teaching "Slow Deep Stretch." Plus, it is
these two yin and yang yogas that became the hallmark of Inland Yoga, and while the studio is now able to
offer other wonderful styles, we continue to be all about present moment balancing.

Evelyn Harlan Sacramento, California
Evelyn, has been practicing yoga for 10 years including Bikram, Vinyasa Power, Yin Yoga, Ashtanga

Sarah Powers began teaching in 1987. She interweaves the insights and practices of Yoga and Buddhism into an
integral practice to enliven the body, heart and mind. Her yoga style blends both a Yin sequence of long held
poses to enhance the meridian and organ systems, combined with a flow or Yang practice, influenced by Viniyoga,
Ashtanga, and Iyengar teachers.

Rochelle’s love of yoga has been apparent since her first yoga class more than 15 years ago. With the encouragement of her teacher

Chuck has studied Yin Yoga with Paul & Suzee Grilley and Paulie Zink. Chuck brings to his classes a feeling of spaciousness and lightness

I emphasizes both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga practice, beginning with centering and ending with savansana
each with an inspiring quotation. I discovered yoga in the fall of 2005 as I was rediscovering my own body and its workings.
Yoga covers so much of what we all need in today's hectic world: flexibility, strength, and stress reduction allowing practitioners
to begin to discover their inner strengths and truth. As a retired teacher, I find yoga a way to stay involved, excited about and
contributing to my community.

After 25 years in Corporate America, I attended a yoga class in an effort to reduce job related stress From the first class, I felt like
I was "home". The classes not only reduced my stress level, but also changed how I breathed and provided a window in which to view how I was
living my life and how I could live it more mindfully and healthfully. I knew that I wanted to share what I was experiencing through the study
of yoga.
I received yoga teacher certification in Colorado in 2004. After teaching there for a year, I moved to Des Moines and began teaching at
Fitness by Design in the fall/winter months and my Minnesota studio, Twin Pines Yoga in the summer. I studied therapeutic yoga at White
Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara in 2007 and received my 500 hour yoga teacher and 300 hour yoga therapy certification from Ananda Seva in
Santa Rosa, CA in 2009. My teaching style is healing and nurturing and the Yin Yoga practice informed by Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers allows for a contemplative,
surrendering practice designed to release connective tissue and support joints, energy channels, immune system and emotional well-being.

Chris has been practicing yoga and meditation since the mid-nineties, and was introduced to
Yin Yoga in 1999, by her first yoga teacher, Janine Grillo-Marra. In 2007, she began teaching, having been inspired
to do so by the recovery of her husband, Mike Maguire, from 3 strokes and brain surgery. She and Mike both know that
it was through dedication to the practice of Yin and Mindfulness that he was able to heal, and regain his health-physically,
mentally, and spiritually. Thus, Chris founded the studio now known as Santi Yoga, located on the North Shore of Boston
in the small town of Boxford, Massachusetts, a space dedicated to sharing the benefits of the practice with students,
with the community, and with the world.
Chris is particularly grateful to her teachers, Sarah Powers and Paulie Zink,
without whom her love of Yin Yoga, and her dedication to the Dharma would not exist. Chris is also grateful to

Heidrun came to yoga in 2002 when she tried a yoga class just because there weren't any Pilates classes offered on that
particular day, and, as has happened to so many before, she was hooked immediately. Initially feeling drawn towards more
athletic yoga styles, her body started signaling her at some point that it was longing for a slower, more meditative
practice where poses could be held for long periods of time and really taken in. At the beginning of 2011, as part of

Shelly Shern RYT Minneapolis
Shelly's devotion to the yogic path began in 1995 after suffering a back injury. She realized profound benefits not only to the physical body but to the spiritual as well. This naturally led her to switch from "flying the friendly skies" to the more grounded calling of teaching yoga. Shelly trained at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis with Lisa Bergly in 2005-2006 and trained in Yoga Bonding Post-natal. This connection led her to the teachings of Kriya Yoga and Enoch Dasa Giri of the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago.
After shelly had asked as much from her yang vinyasa practice as she could, she was drawn to the deeper, more contemplative practice of yin yoga. It is yin yoga that balances a more active yang practice and enhances our well being. In the summer of 2010, Shelly traveled to Kripalu to study Insight Yoga with Sarah Powers. This continuing study of the energy body allows Shelly to share the calming, healing effects of yin yoga with her students.
Her classes are a synthesis of flowing movement, breath awareness, and still contemplation.

Erik Marrero Sewell
Erik Marrero, RYT, MBSR Graduate. Yoga found Erik in the Spring of 2007. As a cancer patient, he enrolled in the
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, through the Myrna Brind Center for Integrative Medicine at Thomas
Jefferson Hospital. Erik was suffering from the side-effects of his cancer therapies. With the first
yoga practice, Erik felt great physically and very at peace. After graduating from the 8-week MBSR program, Erik continued
his daily meditation practice and sought out yoga in a non-hospital environment.
Erik is a graduate of the Yogawood Yoga

Daniel’s yoga resonates through the entire being of the practitioner. A fascinating, miraculous blend

Corina Benner, took her first yoga class in 1992 (although she spent much of her childhood standing on her head!), and has been

I am a yin and vinyasa yoga and received my yin and vinyasa
training from Corina Benner at Wake Up Yoga in Philadelphia. I currently teach 2 yin classes
at Wake Up Yoga South, Mondays from 7:45-9:15pm and Thursday mornings 9am-10:30am. I am available for private lessons.
I also teach at the Jefferson IBC Wellness Center and the Sporting Club at the Bellevue in addition to being on the sub
list for the Philadelphia Sporting Clubs.
I teach 90 minute yin yoga classes using the time to dive deeply into the connective tissues and offer different
themes for reflection. Our studios are fully stocked with mats, blocks and blankets to support the student as they
settle deeply into the shapes. By exploring the effect on the physical body, the breath, the emotions and mind the
student can develop a closer relationship with themselves and their strengths to take off that mat and into the world.
The yin practice brings an openness and juiciness into the body giving the student more mobility or increased mobility
with less discomfort.

Before Yoga became a passion in her life, Katrin was trained since childhood in classical ballet. Chosen for the
National Academy of Dance & Music to continue her studies, she discovered and practiced within the world of Joseph
Pilates. Yoga, for Katrin, became a natural extension of her practice.
As a certified Vinyasa teacher, she had her
first experience with Yin Yoga in 2005 and did not fall in love with it right away. She noticed though what the Yin
practice does to the body and enjoyed the practice of calming the mind through the breath. Katrin began to integrate
Yin postures more and more into her Vinyasa classes. Today, she believes that in order to balance the body and mind
you need to combine the Yin and the Yang energy in a yoga class. Katrin received her Yin Yoga Certification at Wake
Up Yoga in Philadelphia under Corina Benner in 2008. In 2009, she completed Erich Schiffmann's Yoga Teacher Training
in Los Angeles, and worked in 2010 intensively with Pauli Zink. She also instructs on the Yoga Wall where she loves

Kimberley Puryear, RYT received her teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, NC under the direction

After less than a year into my own practice, I completed my RYT with Marianne Wells at Samasati in Costa Rica.
I continued my yin teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina, and have been teaching Yin Yoga
classes since the fall of 2009. I often feel as if I have had a massage after a great yin class, and hope that my
students feel the same. My focus is on relaxing the body and mind while bringing out a more peaceful and balanced

Damon Honeycutt is a transdisciplinary artist whose work involves the cohesion of many traditions. He holds an MA in Conscious Evolution
and Integral Studies from The Graduate Institute and a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in Music Composition and Cross Cultural
Dance Studies. Starting his training in martial arts at the age of 11, he sought out and learned under teachers, masters and
institutions that would help him understand how to bring together the nature of tradition and integrate it with contemporary
modalities.
A prime student of both Paulie Zink and Paul Grilley, Damon's journey has been a freelance cultivation of the

Stephanie Alice Jones first discovered yoga in 1994. After several years of casual study, she began to practice
seriously in 2004. At the same time, she started teaching yoga to the children and adolescents at the day and
residential treatments schools at Vermont Achievement Center, where she is a schoolteacher.
Stephanie completed a 200-hour teacher training through Integrative Yoga Therapy in 2006. She also has over 200

Natalie’s passion for yoga was born out of a desire to learn and to understand how to utilize the physical body to improve

Candy Evans, ERYT/RYT500 has been studying the wisdom tradition of yoga and practicing mediation and Tai Chi for more than 20 years. She

While a student at Virginia Wesleyan College I was introduced to Integral Yoga in 1994. It was during those first yoga

Kimberly Wilson, creative director and founder of Tranquil Space yoga, built a socially conscious and blissful
business in her living room in her mid-20s. Seeking a nurturing, community-focused and creative haven, she
created the modern day Tranquil Space. Kimberly has completed teacher trainings with Sarah Powers, ashtangi David Swenson
and vinyasa teachers Cyndi Lee, Baron Baptiste, and Shiva Rea. She brings a well-rounded approach to her
students, and is known for her inspirational and empowering style. Kimberly incorporates Yin Yoga into a lot of her work.

Danielle Polen Washington, D.C.
Danielle, a native of texas, initially sought out yoga as a means of recovery from recurring dance-related
injuries, but quickly found that the effects of her practice reached far deeper than the major muscle groups.
While Danielle currently earns her livelihood as an immigration attorney, she views the role of teacher as a
great privilege, and has enjoyed teaching a variety of movement, writing, and law courses over the years. She
completed the 200-hour teacher training at Tranquil Space, and her classes reflect her solid grounding in
both the iyengar and anusara traditions coupled with the vinyasa flow. In addition, both her respect for
yoga and her interdisciplinary teaching style continue to be informed by ongoing studies with Shiva Rea,
Rodney Yee and Sarah Powers, among others. Danielle teaches Yin Yoga every Saturday at 3pm at Tranquil Space.

Yael first came to yoga over ten years ago to manage chronic back pain, and help her deal with personal
stress and the challenges of community-based social change work. Yael is certified in yin yoga by Paul
Grilley and Sarah Powers, and teaches vinyasa and yin yoga in Washington, DC. Off the mat, Yael is a
meditation and reiki practitioner, a writer, and arts organizer. In her coaching and consulting practice,

Mary Oscategui has been trained and currently teaches the wisdom teachings and philosophies of

Her studies also include Living Foods at the Ann Wigmore Institute, and she is currently training in

Joanna has been teaching since 2000 when she began training under Lynn Kingston of Northampton, Massachusetts. With
Lynn, she studied Vinyasa as well as Yin Yoga. Joanna also became certified by Kripalu in 2001. She is currently
teaching in various locations in Leavenworth, Washington. Joanna offers vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga classes.
She is studying nutrition and plans to offer nutrition counseling services in the near future. She is driven to
teach by her belief that many people living in discomfort, alienated from their bodies can find healing and peace
through yoga, movement and delicious, good food.

I am a continuing student and teacher of Yoga. My Yoga teaching and practice is heavily influenced by the Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras
of Patanjali, and The Hatha Yoga Pradipika. I strive to practice, teach, and live inspired by the eight limbs of classical, or Raja Yoga
and other spiritual paths.
In addition to teaching and practicing traditional Hatha Yoga, I teach a "YinFusion Yoga" class heavily influenced by Paul Grilley and Sarah
Powers. This practice is primarily Yin Yoga with a blending of Yang postures and concepts.

Karen Jefson Milwaukee
I have been studying yoga since 1997 and began teaching in 2004 after receiving certification (RYT-200)
through Alignment Yoga. I came to yoga as a means of exercise, to reap the benefits of strengthening and
toning my body. And while I did experience and appreciate those benefits, I soon realized that for me
yoga went far beyond the physical practice. Over the years my practice has evolved and helped me through
many life changes. I struggled with developing my meditation practice until practicing Yin. Yin has
infused clarity and calmness into my daily life.
I offer group classes, private lessons, therapy yoga, and workplace yoga. I also teach yoga as a
therapeutic approach for children with special needs, such as autism, down symdrome, or learning
disabilities. I teach at several locations in the Milwaukee area. My class offerings and schedule
